Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-29

PadelMap uses as few cookies as we can. We have no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no behavioural analytics today. Everything below is either strictly necessary for the site to function or set by a third-party service we use for forms.

Essential cookies & local storage

• Polylang language preference (cookie, ~1 year) — remembers whether you prefer English or Bulgarian, so we don’t ask every visit.
• WordPress session (cookie, session only) — only set for users who log in to the admin area. Visitors don’t get this.
• padelmap_cookie_ok (localStorage) — your “dismissed the cookie banner” flag. Just a yes/no.

Third-party (forms only)

• Google reCAPTCHA — loaded on pages with a form (Submit a court, Contact, Newsletter). Sets Google’s own cookies to detect bots. See Google’s privacy policy and terms.

No cookies for

• OpenStreetMap tiles (used for the court maps) — served via plain image requests, no cookies.
• Leaflet — self-hosted from our domain, no third-party calls.
• Advertising or behavioural analytics — none.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings — note that this may log you out of the admin area and forget your language choice. To re-show our cookie banner, clear localStorage for this site or use a private window.
